VTT X PFS “EBS” External Brushless System – 2500HP Capable

Price range: $2,379.99 through $2,719.99

VTT x PFS EBS (External Brushless System) Fuel System

VTT, in collaboration with Performance Fueling Solutions (PFS), is proud to introduce the PFS EBS — External Brushless System.

The EBS is a fully stand-alone, next-generation brushless fuel system available in both platform-specific and universal fitments. Built around state-of-the-art Protec brushless pump technology, this system is capable of supporting up to 2,500 HP on ethanol-based fuels — and even more on gasoline or ethanol blends.

With its compact 15″ x 10″ footprint and ultra-lightweight construction, the PFS EBS is engineered for performance without compromise. The complete system — including pumps, surge tank, FPR, controllers, and wiring harness — weighs in at under 10 lbs (dry), thanks to a carbon fiber mounting plate and carefully chosen lightweight materials.

You can choose to keep the rear mounted FPR for ease of plumbing, this choice will come with the FPR return pre-plumbed into the surge tank. If you choose filter only, it will NOT come with a FPR, only a filter, and you will need to supply your own FPR, and connections

Key Features

  • Fully Stand-Alone System
Mount the plate, connect the harness, run your lines — and you’re ready to flow for up to 2,500 HP on 100% E85 (with even higher capacity on gasoline or blends). Both flow 28 LPM, which translates to 1680LPM, its generally considered that 500LPM will get you 1000HP on

  • Compact & Lightweight
At just 15″ x 10″ and under 10 lbs, the PFS EBS can be mounted almost anywhere.

  • Platform-specific units come with bolt fitment. G8X fits into the passenger side trunk opening, leaving FULL USE of the trunk  space
  • Dual Protec Brushless Pumps
Two state-of-the-art brushless pumps with integrated check valves allow staged operation with no risk of backflow.

  • No Oki-Doke marketing. Other guys using ancient Walbro brushed pumps, which fall on their face with the fuel pressures required for modern platforms such as the G8X, A9X, etc. The flow numbers advertised are shown to hold up to 115+ psi
  • Optimized Flow Path
Full-flow fittings used throughout ensure minimal restriction and maximum performance.

  • Fuel Slosh Prevention
Fed by the stock pump, the surge tank design eliminates fuel starvation under hard launches or cornering — even on low fuel.

  • Flexible Pump Control
Controllers can be triggered via relays, pull-up/pull-down circuits, or PWM signal from a stand-alone/piggyback ECU. This allows flow to be tailored to boost, RPM, or other parameters — and in PWM mode, eliminates the need for a traditional FPR.

  • Configurable Outputs
Available with Dual -6, Single -10, or Single -12 outlets and optional FPR with -6 outlets. If running PWM control, or if you prefer to mount your FPR in the engine bay, a filter with a -10/-12 outlet may be used in place of the FPR.

  • Plug-and-Play Wiring Harness
Platform-specific harnesses with Deutsch connectors. Simply connect to the battery, trigger inputs, and lines to get running.

  • Fuel Compatibility
Works with all fuels except methanol.

Kit Contents

Each system includes:

  • Surge tank with two integrated brushless pumps

  • Carbon fiber mounting plate (platform-specific or universal)

  • Two controllers pre-wired to the plate for plug-and-play installation

  • Choice of:

    • -10 inlet FPR with 10-micron glass filter and dual -6 outlets, OR

    • -10 in / -10 out 10-micron fuel filter assembly (for PWM control, or engine bay-mounted FPR)

  • -10 or -12 surge tank outlets

  • Pre-installed fuel feed and return lines for simplified setup

  • Platform-specific kits: all required fuel lines and plug-and-play harness (BMW G80 available first, A90 Supra, G42, and more to follow)

Capable. Compact. Complete.
The PFS EBS Fuel System is the lightweight, high-flow solution your build demands.

EBS 2500HP Fuel System – Verified 20–22 LPM @ 100 PSI

The EBS Fuel System was engineered for extreme boost, high ethanol demand, and real-world voltage conditions seen in modern BMW platforms.

This system is not rated from a “zero pressure” headline number — it is rated from loaded, regulated pressure testing that reflects how a boost-referenced fuel system actually operates on the car.

Bench-Verified Performance

  • 28 LPM free flow

  • 20–22 LPM at 90–100 PSI

  • Measured post-pump / pre-regulator

  • Tested with FPR restriction to simulate real injector differential pressure

  • Flow verified at 15V

Unlike inflated marketing ratings based on 18V or deadhead figures, this system was characterized at real charging voltages.

Real-World On-Car Voltage Validation

On modern BMW platforms, we have logged:

  • 14.5+ volts sustained to redline

  • Verified under WOT load conditions

This means the published flow numbers reflect what the system actually sees in a properly configured BMW charging environment.

Power Support Capability

E85

At 20–22 LPM and typical boosted E85 BSFC values:

  • ~2320–2550 HP (BSFC 0.90)

  • ~2450–2700 HP (BSFC 0.85 typical)

  • 2500 HP rating is conservative and realistic

Rated assuming:

  • 50–55 PSI base pressure

  • 1:1 boost-referenced regulator

  • 90–100 PSI injector differential under high boost

  • Adequate electrical supply

Gasoline

Due to lower BSFC requirements:

  • ~3200–3500+ HP equivalent capability

(Real-world limits will typically be injector or engine related before pump flow becomes the restriction.)

System Design Notes

  • Designed for 1:1 boost-referenced regulators

  • Optimized for high boost (50+ PSI applications)

  • Characterized at true operating differential pressures

  • Built for ethanol compatibility and high sustained demand

Why This Rating Matters

Most systems advertise flow at low pressure and nominal voltage.
EBS is rated at:

  • Real differential pressure

  • Real voltage

  • Real operating conditions

That is why 2500 HP on E85 is not a marketing number — it is supported by measured flow under load.
